Muraspec Digimura 2.1
We have been printing and installing digital wallpapers for over 10 years and as a result we have used many brands of paper and printing techniques and consequently we have become experts at installing digital wall covering.
Digimura Tactile 2.1 is our most popular wall covering. This is because it has a soft textured surface and is great to install. This paper is wet applied using wallpaper adhesive.
For our installations we prefer to print the Muraspec Digimura with overlaps on each section. We can supply with trimmed butt joints for a DIY installation if you prefer.
Why we use Digimura 2.1
Muraspec Digimura Tactile paper is one of our favourites for a number of reasons. First of all the material prints very well with our UV ink and and as a result the images are strong and vibrant while the textured surface gives an attractive matt finish.
In addition the surface of the Muraspec Digimura Tactile material is also very good at hiding any wall defects compared to any other products we have found.
To get perfect joints between sections we print each drop with an overlap. This is then trimmed on the wall creating an invisible joint. We have found that the Digimura Tactile product is probably the best material for creating perfect overlap and trim joints. Then another big plus for this material is that with good wall preparation this paper can be stripped quickly with out any problems.
How to hang digital wallpaper
As the finished quality of the wall covering is only as good as the wall beneath good wall preparation is key to a professional finish.
First of all walls with loose paint or filler must be stabilised. Any existing wall covering such as lining paper should be removed or sealed. Then when the wall is ready we apply a primer to the wall to ensure it is stable. This consequently makes subsequent stripping and replacing of the digital wall covering much easier with less risk of damage to the wall surface.
This is why we would always recommend a site visit to survey and check the walls prior to starting any project.
